Don’t sweat it…Philly has plenty of spots to help beat this heat wave. Below we’ve highlighted some of our favorite cool-off destinations that are both affordable and fun, indoors and outdoors!

 

 

Northern Liberties Recreation Center

At the Northern Liberties Recreation Center, take a dip and hang-out poolside for the afternoon. This public pool is free to the public and a great spot for kids to play without overheating. It also has basketball hoops and a playground!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kiwi Yogurt

Another great way to cool off is with a delicious frozen treat. Even better, craft it yourself at Kiwi Frozen Yogurt. Pay what yours weighs and have total creative control over your desert. If you find yourself in the Fairmount Park area, don’t skip the Centennial Arboretum for a leisurely stroll. This gorgeous arboretum offers plenty of shady spots decorated with bright flowers and lush greenery. While you’re there, you can also tour the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden located nearby (tickets required).
